STATEMENT
Mi obra esta montada sobre escenarios ficticios, juega en la frontera realidad‐ficción, en el espacio del no‐tiempo, donde impera algo inasible, algo que termina por escaparse.
No hay un espacio coherente, la dimensión de los objetos se torna extraña. Las imágenes se alejan voluntariamente de la escala humana. Algo de lo fantástico en el espacio de la ficción desdibuja la carga trágica.
Imágenes silenciosas en las que el orden de lo imposible va colándose lentamente en la mirada. Produciendo realidad, poniendo en escena, renunciando a representar “ese lugar”
El papel es el sustrato fundamental sobre el que trabajo. Sus cualidades que conjugan por un lado fragilidad, delicadeza y por otro fuerza y permanencia son el soporte ideal para el concepto. El medio se convierte asi en una contradicción y afirmación para expresar la naturaleza transitoria y evanescente de todas las cosas.
Intento que la acción de mi persona sobre la escena mapee el territorio misterioso entre la geografia personal y emocional.
My work is mounted over fictional stages. Plays in the boundaries between reality and fiction, in the space of no time, where something elusive prevails.
There’s no coherent space, objects proportionality becomes strange, all pretense of human scale is abandoned
Strange scenes trying to reveal what’s usually unveiled. Fantasy appears in that fictional space to blur its tragic magnitude.
The images are still and silent. Eventually the irruption and forcefulness of words breaks the silence.
To produce reality, to create a stage, giving up the idea of “a true place”, allowing unnoticed sensations to arise.
Paper is the main substratum over which I work. Its opposing qualities, fragility and delicacy versus strength and permanence , are the ideal support for my conceptual basis. The medium becomes an affirmation to express the transient and evanescent nature of everything.
My involvement in the scene is an attempt to grasp the mysterious territory that lays between personal and emotional geography.
